“Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care for our epilepsy patients,” says Dr. Sadek. He adds, “We strive to achieve our goals of unparalleled epilepsy services to our patients not only through our clinical team but also by providing one of the most sophisticated centers for epilepsy monitoring.” As a specialist and thought leader in the field of epilepsy, Dr. Sadek believes that medical and surgical approaches for managing epilepsy should be tailored for each patient according to their epilepsy type, functional needs, and goals. In addition to the highly advanced epilepsy management approaches, Dr. Sadek and his team emphasize compassion and patient advocacy as a core philosophy for their patient care.

OUR TEAM

Orlando Epilepsy Center has grown dramatically over the past two years to include three physicians and 13 midlevel providers. Dr. Ahmed Sadek is an Ivy League-trained neurologist with extensive training in the field of epilepsy management. The other epileptologists are
Dr. Tammam Dayoub, who is Emory University trained, and Dr. Aisha Qazi, who is Vanderbilt University trained.

MEMBERSHIPS AND ACADEMIC AFFILIATIONS

All of our physicians are members of the American Epilepsy Society (AES), International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE), American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS), and American Academy of Neurology (AAN). Some of our physicians are current faculty members at the University of Central Florida School of Medicine and the University of Florida Shands at Gainesville.

CERTIFICATIONS

All physicians are board-certified in the field of Neurology and Epilepsy.

IN THE COMMUNITY

Dr. Sadek is the medical director of Orlando Epilepsy Center and served as the medical director of the neurodiagnostic section and epilepsy program at Orlando Health between 2013- 2021. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida (EACF).

EPILEPSY SERVICES

“We provide a comprehensive approach to managing refractory epilepsy patients,” he says. This includes options for long-term video EEG studies, ambulatory recordings, and different prolonged and routine EEG studies as indicated. His services include patient selection for epilepsy surgery and VNS management. The Orlando Epilepsy Center team treats different types of epilepsy in adult and pediatric populations.

CHARITABLE WORK

A number of cases are seen as charity every month.
