Winston-Salem rests in the center of the North Carolina Piedmont. It was once the center of the tobacco industry, nicknamed The Camel City after the cigarette brand. At left, the R.J. Reynolds tobacco plant is now a craft brewery. At right, tulips in bloom at the Reynolda House Museum and Gardens.
