Get to Know These Women-Owned Florida Wellness Brands
These ladies are changing the face of wellness from the inside out.
Feel Great Be Great Lifestyle
Keep up on your daily nutrients while indulging in a quick snack—perhaps a honey lemon-flavored gummy to promote brain health or some chocolate to help you sleep?
You can thank twin sisters Jessica and Melissa Medri for this innovative approach to supplements. Their passion for good mental health and women’s wellness led them to launch Feel Great Be Great Lifestyle (FGBG).
Products in the premium, vegan-certified line are packed with antioxidants, vitamins and other natural ingredients to promote calmness and well-being.
The Miami-based brand was designed for ease of use by just dropping into your purse, then having as a snack when you get hungry throughout the day.
“We wanted to create something that would be easy to take with you on the go, but also something you’d remember to take,” says Jessica.
The sisters promote a balanced, holistic lifestyle such as eating well, being active and taking time to appreciate the small
moments, which could be as simple as looking up into the trees on a nature walk.
“It’s important to take care of ourselves, particularly mentally, which is why we created the brand,” says Melissa. “We named it ‘Feel Great Be Great’ because when you feel great, you are great. You’re always going to be working at your best.”
With warmer weather upon us, the sisters suggest the Summer Glow Tanning Gummies, packed with essential nutrients and antioxidants that trigger melatonin production and promote healthy skin.
“Our gummies help give you that summer glow with or without the sun,” says Jessica.

Pure Wellness Med Spa
Tucked into a strip mall in Ocala is one of the most inspired spas we’ve visited. Pure Wellness Med Spa is the brainchild of Johanna Whetzel and Hanna Schumm, who are making the world a more beautiful place one person at a time, from the inside out.
Each member of the team at Pure Wellness is a medical professional, so you can feel confident about your beauty journey. It all begins with a consultation to address the areas you’re concerned about. Then, it’s time to indulge in a treatment.
Ours was the HydraFacial, and it didn’t disappoint. There are no extractions here, just a pampering regimen that cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates using vortex suction technology to get rid of dead skin cells and infuse the skin with nourishment. You’ll love how radiant you look afterward!
A special part of the facial is red light therapy, an LED treatment that reduces imperfections in the skin, gets rid of bacteria and promotes cellular performance.
Pure Wellness is located next door to Gold’s Gym, which offers its own treatment menu from the spa.
