ABOUT US
Florida Radiation Oncology is an independent, state-of-the-art radiation oncology center whose outstanding team provides the best, most cost-effective cancer care. As an independent center, we work with all physicians throughout our community.
TECHNOLOGY
Our Varian TrueBeam® treatment machine is the region’s most advanced, allowing for the most precise treatment available. SERVICES: Stereotactic body radiotherapy, frameless brain radiosurgery, imageguided radiotherapy, HDR brachytherapy, and radiopharmaceuticals (first-in-the-region use of Pluvicto™ for prostate cancer and Lutathera™ for neuroendocrine tumors).
DOCTORS
Dr. Diamond and Dr. LaFave are both board-certified in radiation oncology and they have earned the trust of hundreds of their fellow physicians. EXPERIENCE: Dr. Diamond and Dr. LaFave have 37 years of combined experience in Central Florida and have cared for 18,000 patients.
EDUCATION/ACHIEVEMENTS
Dr. Diamond graduated from Princeton cum laude and earned his medical degree with research honors from the University of Florida. He completed his internship at Yale and residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He has served as a board member of the American College of Radiation Oncology and as an advisor to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. In 2019, he was appointed by Gov. DeSantis to the Florida Board of Medicine and was elected Board Chair in 2021. Dr. LaFave earned her honors undergraduate and medical degrees from Michigan State University. She completed her residency at the University of Miami, served as Chief Resident, and received the Clinical Service Award. Dr. LaFave has been honored with the following awards: “Doctor of the Year” and “Women of the Year” by Orlando Style Magazine and “Women Who Move the City” by Orlando magazine. Dr. LaFave serves as a volunteer faculty member of a Florida medical school.
