SeaWorld Orlando heats up coaster scene with snowmobile journey through Antarctica.

Pt 1

If you’re a rollercoaster aficionado and are seeking your next thrill, SeaWorld Orlando has a little surprise for you called Penguin Trek.

SeaWorld’s eighth roller-coaster, Penguin Trek, is set to open in spring 2024 and features snowmobile-styled cars that take riders on an exciting penguin-research mission through the vast, snowy lands of Antarctica.

This latest by world-renowned design and engineering firm Bolliger & Mabillard features two launches and a maze of twists and turns, pushing the cars at up to 43 mph across 3,020 feet of track both indoors and out.

SeaWorld calls Penguin Trek THE ultimate family launch coaster experience, accommodating rider heights from 42 inches to 77 inches.

MORE ABOUT PENGUIN TREK

Penguin Trek is more than an exhilarating ride, though, with a finale unlike any other coaster. While most rides end with a walk through a gift shop, this family coaster takes riders into SeaWorld’s live penguin habitat for an encounter that is educational and heartwarming.

“This family launch coaster embodies the spirit of adventure and exploration, offering an immersive journey through the wonders of Antarctica while further connecting our mission and commitment to our animal care, education and research,” says Jon Peterson, president of SeaWorld Orlando.
